More To Health and Fitness Than Just Food

Just a few of the wise words I came across in the past week that talk up how there is more to health than just food. Being fit encompasses our entire being as highlighted in these bloggers' recent (and timely) posts.

Clearly Composed blogs about the ~ ABC’S OF BALANCED EATING in her Graceful Balance blog. My favorite?
One thing busy business owners are having to do is just what you’ve said: get in line and seek out “a balanced relationship with food.” My favorite of your A-Zs is Offer to bring a healthy dish to the party. Does chocolate zucchini cake count? (my comment)

In Become a Healthier You Series: Watch Your Emotions, Evelyn Parham makes some seriously valid points, reminding us:
Your emotional health is connected to your physical health . . .  Positive thoughts promote good emotional  health.
We both agree Mother Nature has a hand in our emotional health:
There’s more room out than in, so when the negativity is in me, I take it outside! That seems like a strange thing to say (and a strange way to behave), but I've found the outdoors to be a sort of healer. I live in the mountains, so it could be the air up here. (my comment)
Can't say I have a green thumb but I'm a firm believer in substituting natural herbs for synthetic remedies.  Patrica Millman shares the health, medicinal, and smell-good properties of lavender in a niche blog so tightly focused, I can't squeeze out another superlative to describe it!

In case you didn't know, she postulates:
The history of lavender is still being written and in ages to come, I believe there will still be an ever-increasing interest in the many uses of lavender.
And finally, this round-up wouldn't be complete without saying a wee bit about the health of your business.  Two writer/coaches impressed me with their focus.

Who knew Tia Peterson of BizChickBlogs.com wanted to be a weight-loss coach?  Even if you didn't know that, it's easy enough to glean she's got a healing touch, for business, that is!  Evidenced by one of her recent posts, in which she adminishes blog owners on:
. . . getting OVER, getting THROUGH, or getting BEYOND the rough patches. Whatever you do, don’t sit on a rough patch for too long. Eventually, you will fall through or get scraped up.
Not one to just tell you to get on with it, she provides 4 points to help us whip things in shape or toss if off the cliff.

In her own words, Sherryl Perry is "a cross between a computer geek, a teacher and an entrepreneur."

As a business blogger, she understands how bad behavior online both reflects negatively on you and potentially harms customer relationships.  I particularly enjoyed participating in the discussion she sparked with an article on how to deal with copyright infringement on her (and our) creative work.

That's it for the journey this week. Your turn ...

How about you?

Did you come across advice, admonishments, or adventures that move you further along the path of being healthy, happy, wise, and fit?  Tell us about it!
